Subject: MyVoteMattersNY: What We've Accomplished Together
Dear S.C.O.P.E. Members,
As we approach the November 3rd election, I’d like to highlight what we've accomplished through MyVoteMattersNY, S.C.O.P.E.'s statewide voter education and Get Out the Vote (GOTV) initiative.
MyVoteMattersNY was created to reach New Yorkers concerned about the direction of our state—from constitutional rights and government overreach to affordability, public safety, and economic opportunity.
Our mission was simple: To help New Yorkers understand what's at stake, understand that their vote matters, register to vote, and make their voices heard on November 3rd without telling them who to vote for.
WHAT WE'VE ACCOMPLISHED
In just a few short months, we:
- Developed and distributed voter education materials, including brochures and posters at county fairs, community events, gun shows, local businesses, conservation and gun clubs, shooting ranges, and firearm dealers across New York.
- Launched MyVoteMattersNY.com, featuring voter education resources and our comprehensive Compare the Candidates information.
- Established the MyVoteMattersNY Facebook page to expand our statewide reach beyond S.C.O.P.E.'s traditional membership. To date, the page has over 115,000 views.
- Developed issue-focused communications addressing Second Amendment rights, constitutional freedoms, public safety, taxes, energy affordability, government overreach, and other key issues.
- Produced videos featuring everyday New Yorkers sharing, in their own words, why their vote matters.
- Expanded statewide outreach and distribution through members of the U.S. House of Representatives, New York State Assembly and Senate members, county sheriffs, Republican and Conservative County chairs, NYSRPA, the New York State Federated Republican Women, and other community leaders. Media outreach included appearances on WYDC Big FOX's Frankly Speaking and Keeler in the Morning on 92.7 FM.
- Promoted voter registration, early voting, and Election Day participation through email and social media communications.
SOMETHING THAT CAN LAST
MyVoteMattersNY has the potential to be more than a short-term election initiative. We've established a recognizable identity, digital communications platforms, educational resources, and outreach capabilities that S.C.O.P.E. can build upon in the future.
My sincere thanks to everyone who contributed their time, talents, resources, and support. Your efforts have been greatly appreciated.
I also want to extend my sincere appreciation to the S.C.O.P.E. Board of Directors for their support and for making the MyVoteMattersNY initiative possible.
On a personal note, it has been a privilege to lead this initiative. While it required considerable time, effort, and determination—and presented its share of challenges—S.C.O.P.E. can be proud of what we've accomplished together.
ONE FINAL REQUEST — WITH ELECTION DAY UPON US, OUR WORK ISN'T FINISHED
Please continue sharing MyVoteMattersNY information with fellow New Yorkers. Encourage them to get informed, compare the candidates, and VOTE ON NOVEMBER 3RD!
REMEMBER… THE FUTURE IS DECIDED BY THOSE WHO SHOW UP!
Thank you again for your support and commitment to S.C.O.P.E.’s mission to restore and protect the Second Amendment rights of New Yorkers.
In liberty,
Steve Leonard
