2024 To be determined
We are hoping to have Vicky Olin. Commissioner of Steuben County Board of elections.
Marjorie Byrnes is also on the list. She is retiring from the Assembly this year.
She is a true patriot and we hope to get a recap from her.

Public Exposure
SCOPE is continuing to publish quotes and messages about voting and citizen responsibilities through November 2024 in the New York Outdoor News.

Donations are coming in from various chapters to help cover expenses.

Shooting Teams

High School Clay Target Leagues are still growing at a great pace. This is one of the fastest growing sports in the country. Our efforts help support the Arkport, Bath, Canisteo/ Greenwood, Corning/Painted Post, Prattsburgh, and Wayland / Cohocton teams. As well as Steuben Cty. 4 H, and Five Rivers Council of Boy Scouts of America.

We also help with Armed Women of America, Steuben Cty. chapter.

My Two Cents

I would like to thank Don and Marlew D. for all their work on the dish to pass dinner. We had a great turnout and lots of fun. Jim P., general mgr from The Bell 1000 AM WLNL radio spoke about the impact of conservative talk radio and the efforts of the left to shut it down. The Bell has a second amendment / Conservative format. I’m sure we will be using them in the future.

Now for my usual rant. We all know that every Senator and Assemblyperson in the state is up for election. With any luck we can escape the one party rule. The presidential election ramifications goes without saying. (I hope). This could very well be our last chance to save our Republic! Voter fraud and election interference are a constant threat. We need enough voters out there to win by a landslide. Think about the Jan 6 protesters who are rotting in jail (some without trial) because they legally protested at the Capitol. Torture and maltreatment inflicted regularly. This is America!?
Please spread the word.

Every year Steuben Co. SCOPE donates to the NYS High School Clay Target League. (NYSHSCTL)
NYSHSCTL is an independent provider of shooting sports as an extracurricular co-ed and adaptive activity for high schools and students in grades 6 through 12. The organization’s priorities are safety, fun, and marksmanship. They are a 501 C(3) non-profit organization and all students have earned their firerm safety certification.  If you would like more information about the NYSHSCTL:  click HERE

Along with the NYSHSCTL, Steuben Co. SCOPE also donates to the 5 Rivers Council BSA annual Sporting Clays Shoot. It is imperative that we support these youth and the shooting sports.
