Jefferson-Lewis Chapter Meeting

Watertown Sportsmen Club
17751 Dry Hill Rd.
Watertown
Most of you are aware that Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush will not be seeking reelection in 2026. This is disappointing news, as Assemblyman Blankenbush has been a strong and consistent defender of the Second Amendment, and his service will be greatly missed.
At a press conference held on December 18, Assemblyman Blankenbush announced his endorsement of his current chief of staff, Tammy Nabywaniec. As expected, additional candidates have also announced their intention to run for the 117th Assembly District. These include Bob Waltlers, former Executive Director of the Oneida Housing Authority, and Lonny Koons, a retired veteran and truck driver.
To better understand each candidate’s position on the Second Amendment, the Jefferson/Lewis County chapter of SCOPE plans to invite all declared candidates to speak at upcoming meetings between now and the November 2026 election. Tammy Nabywaniec has accepted our invitation and will be our guest speaker on Monday, January 19, 2026.
