Agenda:   

1.Opening Pledge and Prayer

2.Secretary’s and Treasurer’s reports

3.Speaker: Bob Brannan’s presentation on effort to inform Albany legislators and obtain feedback from them regarding an audit of the 2022 NY elections.

4.Speaker: Nick Affronti from Eastside Traders in Ontario. 

5.Speaker: Sheriff Rob Milby on “Ghost” Guns (what may have been known about their distribution). 

6.Speaker: Jim Hartsen regarding the ATF intrusion on his business. 

7.Video: CRAZY ANTI-GUN OPINION: FEDERAL APPEALS COURT JUST NOW WRONGFULLY UPHOLDS ARMS BAN (reviews both the Heller and Bruen decisions by SCOTUS)

8.Announcements:

8.1 Possibility of a SCOPE table at Spencer Speedway. Will need volunteers. 

8.2 Also need volunteers for our SCOPE table at the Wayne County Fair, August 12-17. 

8.3 SCOPE President John Elwood has contacted other state 2A leaders in an effort to arrange a meeting of all organization leaders. It appears the meeting will occur in June. 

8.4 State politicians have been invited to the SCOPE banquet on September 28. 

8.5 (Dave VanDeusen owes Wayne Federation $5 for 10-22 raffle ticket)- pay Cheryl). 

9.Legislative Update:

9.1 CONTACT your state officials:   helming@nysenate.gov   manktelowb@nyassembly.gov

9.2 Outcome from SCOTUS conference May 16 on 5 assault weapons & magazine ban cases in Illinois (4) and Maryland (1): These will not be heard since they can still be potentially resolved at the state level.  SCOTUS will not take a case unless it has been fully litigated and all potential remedies on the appellate level have been exhausted. 

9.3 Signed petitions to eliminate State Police background checks were sent to the Governor and Legislature Majority Leaders. SCOE President John Elwood has contacted the minority leaders to make them aware of the petitions. They were gratified for our efforts. 

10.50-50 Drawing (save “losing” tickets for ‘special’ second drawing).
